"Best Friends Humane Society in Worth County" Needs Your Help!

Please Volunteer and Donate!

We thank you for your help!

The new humane society for Worth County has been named and officers appointed, but there are no funds yet to operate, or building to house the many animals that are in danger, abandoned, homeless or just lost.

This is a brand new venture into a much needed area and the best part about being brand new is that it has lots of room for new members!

Would you like to attend the next meeting, or become a member, or donate something to the new shelter?  You can volunteer your services, and help make suggestions that will create the animal shelter we so desperately need.

$425 was raised in April for the licensing and paperwork required to establish the humane society as a legal entity but the funds to operate it physically have to be raised now.  Anyone wishing to make a donation or to contact the group is encouraged and applauded for doing so.

Remember this shelter will be operated totally by donations, and is not county or state funded.  Without you, these animals have only starvation and disease to look forward to.

You may already know that overpopulation among pets "gone wild" creates serious problems for all of us, including danger from rabies and other diseases.

Even in your own home, not having your animals neutered or spayed, allowing them to multiply out of control will create more stress on your budget as well as the health of the animal group.

Respiratory diseases, feline leukemia, eye infections and yes - even rabies, are serious consequences of neglecting the needs and health of our beloved pets.

PLEASE do not drop off your unwanted pets at the nearest dumpster or someone's house down the road.  Your pets deserve better than that.  They depend on you, and they trust you.

If you need help with your pets, the proper thing to do is to call the local humane society.  THAT'S WHY WE NEED THIS ANIMAL SHELTER SO DESPERATELY.

PLEASE donate and volunteer, help them get started, because the help you give today may benefit your own pet tomorrow!

Being a good steward of your money and your community means meeting your own needs, as well as planning for the needs of the less fortunate.  This humane society will feed, medicate and find homes for MANY less fortunate of God's animals.
